students during a visit to Nestle
Nestle Zoegas is conducting a design competition in Kenya. The competition was targeting female design students to develop a packaging design for the Company's Christmas 2016 product line that celebrates Kenya.
Every Christmas since 1988, Zoegas produces a limited edition coffee with selected beans from chosen origins. This year’s theme is coffee by women.
Fourteen (14) female students from the Schools of the Arts and Design were identified to take part in the competition in which the winner will have their design produced internationally and also win a fully paid internship opportunity at a Ogilvy & Mather advertising agency in Nairobi. Two runner-up design students will also be selected for a paid internship with the agency.
The students visited the Nestle head offices in Kenya for a briefing via video-conference on the competition on 25th February, 2016.
The competition will run from the 4th of March to 31st March when the final designs will be forwarded to Zoegas, Sweden
