ENHANCING THE VISUAL IDENTITY OF SHALOM HOUSE THROUGH NEW TYPOGRAPHY PRINCIPLES AND COLOR

                                                 ABSTRACT
The beauty of Kenya lies in so many attractions: the beautiful game parks, the austere beauty of the deserts , the sand toned beaches, the stunning view of the rift valley. Kenya
indeed is blessed with unending beautiful surprises. The Kenya tourism and hotel
industry is one of the major booster of the economy . From creating employment to
contributing to the total GDP. In the year 2013 it contributed to a total of 4.1% to the total
employment in Kenya. And a total of 4.8% to the total GDP . Guest houses plays a major role when it comes to the accommodation sector. Our most esteemed guests who
contribute to the economy need to be accommodated in premises that are not only places to rest but also beautiful environment to admire. A place can be enhanced through the use
of visual cues. Graphic design is the discipline that is employed to tackle the issue.
The reason behind this selection is to place design at the intersection of humans and the natural and man‐made world. Design is the beginning as well as the end, the process and product of imagination. It solves social, cultural and economic Endeavour’s, serving humanity in aesthetic and functional ways. Shalom guest house can strengthen its corporate identity through enhancing its visuals then its overall image will be able to boost it into a more renown centre. Graphic design offers the solution that will heighten the guest house into a renown peaceful centre. The major graphic design areas used are advertising, photography, corporate identity and packaging.
