A Liu Shimming Art Foundation Scholar, Maosa Stephen, who’s pursuing a Master of arts in design at the University of Nairobi recently won a prestigious award at the Real Leather Stay Different (RLSD) Africa Design Showcase in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. The Competition was co-ordinated by the Center of Business and Innovation & Training (CBiT) and Africa Leather & Leather Products Institute (ALLPI) Sponsored by the Leather and Hide Council of America (L&HCA) The Showcase was featured at the African Sourcing and Fashion Week (ASFW) in October 2024. There were 14 Finalists in Total in four different categories from all over Africa. Stephen won the People’s Choice Award.
