The School of Arts and Design in collaboration with AfroSino Cultural Exchange Association successfuly hosted the ''The One Belt One Road ''Cultural Exhibition and Fashion on 9th April 2018. The event was a culmination of a series of activities by Professors of art from various Universities in China with a team of Lecturers from Qinghua University Beijing speareheading the plans.


The event brought together various stakeholders among them the Chinese Embassy, the ministries of Tourism and Sports and Culture.

Both representatives of the Government Ministries encouraged the need to strengthen partnerships in the Arts industry geared towards promoting the culture of the Kenyan people.

The Cultural exhibition is part of an ongoing effort to enhance cultural diplomacy  between Kenya and China with mutual benefits of interpreting the diverse and rich cultures in the two countries.

The delegation from China and The School of Arts and Design will have continous discussions that can build collaborations between the institutions.
