The Kenyan Art Scene

Celebrated writer and artist, Dr. Margarreta wa Gacheru, shared her experience of the Kenyan Art Scene with students from the school. The lecture titled: Opportunities, Issues and Competition was a journey down a memory lane of the growing Art landscape in Kenya spread across post independence period.

Staff Sensitization on ODeL as a Philosophy and as a mode of learning

The school of Arts and Design faculty staff went through a sensitization workshop on the Open, Distance and E learning module of the University of Nairobi conducted by Dr. Lydia Wambugu and Dr. Wafula from the ODeL College.

The ODeL module is a self learning tool anchored on the Commission for University Education standards that creates convergence between distant learners and instructors.

Fashion Needs Analysis Workshop

Fashion and Design students had an interesting guest learning session through a workshop with Jan Miller and  a team from the British Council East Africa Arts on 28th January,2020. Ms. Miller is a British Council East Africa Arts UK fashion lead  and an international fashion incubation expert. 

The talk was part of a three day Fashion Needs Analysis workshop happening in Nairobi between 29th and 31st January. The needs  analysis talk looked at the importance of undertaking a ''Needs Analysis'' as core support to the regional fashion business.
